FT Island Finding Popularity in Romania

FT Island is bringing attention for its sudden rise in popularity in the Eastern European country of Romania. In a recent interview with enews FT Island stated, “We want to hold performances in Europe as well. We heard we have quite a few fans in Europe as well. We were especially surprised to hear we were popular in Romania.” The group went on to say, “At a fan sign event a fan with blonde hair approached us so we greeted them with a ‘hello’. However the fan started speaking a language other than English. We found out it was an Eastern European language and the fan was from Romania.”

The members continued,“We found out we were the second most popular K-Pop artist in Romania, after TVXQ. Men from Eastern Europe are big and burly but we’re smaller and look less formidable which is why we think we’re popular there. It’s a good feeling but at the same time it’s not,” the members said while laughing. FT Island, along with its label mates, CN Blue will be holding a joint concert on March 9 (KST) in America at LA’s Nokia Theater. Beginning with this concert, the two groups will be making their entries into Asia and other countries.FT Island said, “It feels good knowing we will begin a new journey.
